90's Alt Pop Mix
Hi! I am feeling super nostalgic today so I thought I'd put together a throwbacks mix. These 90's alt pop songs take me BACK. I remember laying on the living room floor with my little cassette player and the headphones with the foam to protect your ears, just vibing to a lot of these tracks. What a time to be alive!

Okay chat...looking at my maladaptive playlists is telling me that it actually wasn't that long since I was last in my maladaptive era. Some songs are from 6 or 7 years ago! Which I guess tracks. If I think about what I was up to back then, it was right around the start of the pandemic time. I was quarantining in a school bus that I had converted into a tiny house. So, perhaps a bit of daydream escapism was in order. By August, I had stumbled upon BTS and they became the thing that got me through the panini, not daydreaming. More about them later, I feel a BTS page is coming soon!
I am someone who used to maladaptive daydream. Meaning, I daydreamed ALL the time. Intricate storylines. That continued. For years. Definitely an escapsim thing. It's been years since I've done it. But as a result, I have a LOT of music that I love. Because music was like the fuel to the fire of the daydreams. They helped set the scenes. Dramatic music for dramatic moments. Fun, for the the fun. Sad for the sad. And so on and so on.
I figured I'd start putting together some smaller playlists of those songs. Because they are nostalgic for me. They don't trigger daydreams, they just feel like reminiscing. Some of the songs will go back into the mid-late 90's. Some will be more recent because I started mixing playlists up when I moved over to spotify (which I don't have anymore).
